Day 2!

Day 2 of my time in London has been pretty great! Today was our day to just explore and get to know the city a little bit better. I LOVE IT HERE!!!! Oh my goodness! I am so happy to be here and to have this experience! Today we all got up and had breakfast together because the center feeds us breakfast and dinner every day. It is nice to have those meals set in our schedule so that I at least get some healthy food in my body.

So this is what I did with my day today. This picture is from King's Cross Station which is where Harry Potter and all of his friends get on the Hogwarts Express to go to Hogwarts of course. I think it is funny first that they put this sign up and second that they put the cart sticking half way out of the wall. Thankfully we were not the only people taking pictures there so we weren't too touristy looking, we were touristy but not too much so it was way fun.

So I am really horrible at adding pictures here, they never come out the way I think they will- I will try and get better, I promise! I was able to go running today and I love running in London. I wore my black tights and my black shirt so I felt like I fit in. I ran around the part of town where the centre is and it was way fun! I got my first real smile from a British person today, it was from an old lady right outside of Hyde Park, it made me feel real special and accepted :) I ran through Hyde Park and it was so cool! All the little boys and girls from the schools around here were in the park with their parents and with their school uniforms still on. The boys where little knickers and matching coats and the girls wear matching coats and hats- they are so cute!!!! Hyde Park was also just incredible in itself. It is kind of like Central Park just bigger just like the Tube is almost like the subway just cleaner and it smells nicer :)

The picture at the very top of the page which was supposed to be at the bottom of the page (hence the, I am horrible at getting pictures where I want them to go comment) is a picture of me in front of the centre. The street that we live on is beautiful and I am so happy to be here!

  1. I guess I will be your blog fan. Thanks for the update. I am glad that you are happy and enjoying the scenery. I am also glad that you didn't say the food was terrible and you are going to have to ration your granola bars so you don't die in the next 4 months. I am also glad that you are out soaking up the atmosphere in London. It is a beautiful place and I absolutely love the tube. You can get anywhere on it, every city should have one. I love you and I am so glad you are happy. Love MOM
